NAG Petition to Mayor Menino, August 2005
Posted by John B. Kelly
NAG members presented this petition to an aide of Mayor Thomas M. Menino in August, 2005, when the mayor came to the Fenway to announce the Symphony Area Streetscape Initiative. 65 people signed it, but we never heard back.
CITIZENS APPEAL TO MAYOR THOMAS M. MENINO
The Massachusetts Architectural Access Board has ordered the city to repair the new brick sidewalk on Huntington Avenue (Mass Ave. to Gainsborough St.) by July 1, 2005. Please take this opportunity to protect our physical safety by installing a concrete path of travel. These bricks are dangerous for everyone in our neighborhood who depends upon a wheelchair, scooter, cane, or walker for mobility; and for visually impaired and elderly people.
